Ours Projects

Facilitating Sahel Region Infrastructures, MTN Sahel, offers a comprehensive range of Project Management, Engineering, Technical and Contracting Services.
We have a substantial presence in the Sahel Region, (Cameroon, Chad and Niger). Our Network of Regional, Countries, and project offices enable us to serve our clients in multiple locations with a consistently high level of services.

MTN Sahel, formerly known as Cambusum Telecom, was awarded over 100 BTS and Microwave site deployments by Ericsson South Africa for the MTN Cameroon Network, successfully executed between 2000 and 2004, demonstrating our early technical excellence and reliability.

From 2005 to 2008, we were awarded the implementation of 15 Turnkey Telecom Sites by Likusasa Cameroon, under contract with MTN Cameroon, reinforcing our reputation for delivering end-to-end telecom infrastructure solutions with efficiency and technical precision.

Between 2014 and 2018, we secured the construction of 5 Hybrid Turnkey Telecom Sites from China Communication Services Cameroon, under contract with Huawei Technologies Cameroon, for deployment on Camtel, the national telecommunications network of Cameroon.

We were awarded the construction and deployment of four 80KW Solar Energy Mini-Grid Systems by China Communication Services Cameroon, under contract with Huawei Cameroon, to support the electrification of remote communities and promote sustainable energy access across Cameroon.

In Chad

We participated in the deployment of Chad National Fiber Optic Backbone coming from Cameroon to link Sudan, spanning over 600km. This major infrastructure project was executed in partnership with PPL Ltd (Chad) and Ngabs Engineering Ltd (Chad), under contract with Huawei Technologies Chad. Our role involved full technical execution and coordination, ensuring the backbone met international standards for performance and reliability, while strengthening regional connectivity and supporting the digital transformation efforts across Central and East Africa.

In Niger

In 2009, our company was awarded a contract for the installation of 17 BTS and Microwave sites, including full site commissioning, for Orange Niger. That same year, we secured an additional contract from Huawei Technologies Niger to install the Orange Niger Switch (Data Center). These achievements marked a significant milestone in our expansion, showcasing our technical expertise, reliability, and ability to deliver complex telecommunications infrastructure projects within tight deadlines and to the highest industry standards.
